(keep it) DAILY: casual

I’ve been questionable on my posting regularity lately. One reason is because I started working at a bakery! (Ruby Snap. Order on up. We ship everywhere in the country!) It’s a dream come true. Something about baking the cookies until they’re juuust the right shade of light brown, drizzling thin dark brown zigzags of chocolate, sprinkling here and there … it just feels good. Therapeutic, even. And talking with cool/cute customers all day long about the best cookies you’ll ever experience is good for the soul.

At the bakery we have to wear a black shirt every day, and the requirement has affected me even off the clock. Whereas I’m usually all about gray, I’ve been wearing black day in and day out. Get ready to see a lot of it.

For this outfit I worked in a sequined skirt for daytime by making it a little more casual with a striped tee and tall boots, rather than the obvious choice of black heels and a blouse.
